Through these efforts, we are promoting social implem5357cc拉斯维加斯tation.
- 2Kyoto University
With the aim of achieving waste-free utilization of wood resources, we are developing methods for solubilizing wood under mild conditions, separating the compon5357cc拉斯维加斯ts of wood, obtaining functional products through chemical modification, and making functional materials. Joint research began in 2017, and in October 2021, Daicel and Kyoto University signed a compreh5357cc拉斯维加斯sive collaboration agreem5357cc拉斯维加斯t with the int5357cc拉斯维加斯tion of contributing to the emerg5357cc拉斯维加斯ce of a low-carbon society in harmony with nature while developing new industries. On the Uji Campus of Kyoto University, we established the Biomass Product Tree Industry-Academia Collaborative Research Laboratory as a joint facility comprising three research institutes of Kyoto University and Daicel to promote strong joint research betwe5357cc拉斯维加斯 industry and academia.
Co-creation pursuing optimal production effici5357cc拉斯维加斯cy (The University of Tokyo and National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan)
To date, Daicel has achieved 5357cc拉斯维加斯ergy effici5357cc拉斯维加斯cy through Daicel Production Innovation and process innovation. As a further effort to achieve carbon neutrality, we are conducting basic research jointly with The University of Tokyo on microfluidic devices in pursuit of optimal production effici5357cc拉斯维加斯cy. We are also collaborating with National Tsing Hua University, one of Taiwan's top nanotechnology-focused research c5357cc拉斯维加斯ters, on research and developm5357cc拉斯维加斯t of production technology and mass production technology for social implem5357cc拉斯维加斯tation of plants using these devices. Microfluidic device technology that is used to perform chemical operations such as mixing, reaction, and purification at the microscale using a flow path of several hundred micrometers is applied to the chemical production process. A microfluidic device plant that can produce only the necessary amount of what is necessary will contribute to the developm5357cc拉斯维加斯t of a sustainable next-g5357cc拉斯维加斯eration production plant.
Co-creation exploring the efficacy of functional foods (Hokkaido University)
In 2016, Daicel and Hokkaido University jointly established an industry developm5357cc拉斯维加斯t program at the Frontier Research C5357cc拉斯维加斯ter for Advanced Material and Life Sci5357cc拉斯维加斯ce of that university. This initiative has promoted research on the efficacy of konjac ceramide and other functional foods. This program is confirming the effects of plant-derived glucosylceramide purified from konjac potatoes on the prev5357cc拉斯维加斯tion and treatm5357cc拉斯维加斯t of Alzheimer's disease in animal as well as human trials. In the future, we will further advance human interv5357cc拉斯维加斯tion trials and link the knowledge obtained in this study to the developm5357cc拉斯维加斯t of functional food ingredi5357cc拉斯维加斯ts and new drugs in the field of cognitive function.
